Killing civilians in war now a crime

The International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) has found Radovan Karadzic guilty of ‘genocide’ and crimes against humanity and war crimes.

All we can hope is that this sets a standard and the deliberate targeting of civilians in war is now outlawed.

(As for the case itself Nietzsche would have some comments to make about the way one individual is set up and held accountable. One man must be made to accept the guilt. A form of scapegoating. Some one individual was very very bad and now we can all now go back to sleep).
