The drip by drip propaganda

This is in the Guardian in a piece on theimminent Russian invasion of Ukraine’ about which the Western media and political classes seem to have convinced themselves.

But he pointed out that Russia’s president had a long history of aggressive behaviour. This included attacking Georgia in 2008 and annexing Crimea in 2014, and “training, arming and leading” a separatist rebellion in eastern Ukraine. Blinken added: “We have to base our actions on the facts.”

Blinken is US Secretary of State. This is the myth of Russian aggression.

In 2008 Georgia provoked the war over South Ossetia.

Crimea was annexed with the support of 80% of its population – confirmed in multiple opinion polls by Western organizations. It was not taken with a battle.

No doubt there has been some support for the rebels in Donbass. But the US is training and arming Kiev so that is 50/50.

Russia is in defensive mode. The idea of ‘Russian aggression’ is a deluded projection.
