The ‘little pigs’ hoax

Last week Putin called Europe’s leaders “little pigs” and said Russia would achieve its goals through diplomacy or force [1]

This is the Guardian but it was all over Western media.

The “little pigs” thing is another liberal hoax. The Russian word used is подсвинок. Literally this sounds something like ‘under pig’. In fact it means a young pig, a not fully grown pig, basically a piglet. Putin probably used it to emphasise the immaturity and lack of development of European leaders. Any journalist can look into this. (There are articles by Russian linguists discussing the word, or they could find a Russian speaker and ask them). But, the liberals at the Guardian lazily and dishonestly frame it as if Putin were simply issuing a crude insult. Naturally, they do not want to draw attention to the problem. European leaders are indeed, and have been since before 2014, behaving with a remarkable display of lack of development and maturity. (Infantile diplomacy to use Professor Frank Furedi’s characterisation).
