Is it just me or we we watching the rather horrible moment in the film when everyone can see that the criminal is unmasked, but the criminal continues to play his hand because he doesn’t know what else to do?
I am not getting carried away. John Mearsheimer is not calling a ceasefire and his assessment is about the most credible I can see. But, it is only human to hope.
The recent stories provided to Western media presumably by Ukrainian intelligence – and duly run, about “no pull-out of Kursk”, “the main lines are holding” and so on, are falling apart. I am sorry, but perhaps the last days of the Reich were like this?
When, finally, this is all done I hope someone will write the definitive story of the Kiev regime. They could start from when Zelensky, and to be fair he genuinely tried, could not get his side to implement Minsk and, under threats of a second Maidan from Azov in 2019, backed down and lined up with the extreme nationalists. What I am really interested in is the money trail. How much money went into Ukraine? Where did it all go? How much went back to the US corporate sector? How much disappeared in Ukraine? Who does Zelensky answer to? I hope someone tells this story.
